Horn Strengthening

Derwent Brass are delighted to sign up Conor Harron onto 1st Horn as they begin their assault on a busy 20th anniversary year.

Ireland born Conor, brings a wealth of ability and experience to the band having been part of winning Championship Section performances in the Northern Ireland Championships and has also performed in other major events including the Europeans in Montreaux. He was tutored by Phillip McCann at Huddersfield University and following a period of living overseas has returned to England, recently joining the Derwent Brass Horn Section.

Conor, who has also played with Jayess 87 and Hade Edge, said: "I am very pleased to join Derwent Brass; this is a fantastic band with a great bunch of friendly people."

Keith Leonard, Derwent’s MD also commented “I am very pleased to welcome Conor on board. He is a delight to work with, not only in his strong playing abilities but also in his friendly character; the perfect combination for strengthening the ranks within our band at this special time.”

Conor joins the section alongside Pam Davis (Flugel), Graham Johnson (Solo Horn), Karen Pitts and Ed Walford (2nd Horns).
